We're Green
Our primary goal is to help you maintain and improve your oral health. Limerick Dental Care also believes in taking care of the Earth. From reducing our waste water and use of toxic materials, to shrinking our carbon footprint, we've taken steps to reduce our environmental impact.
For example, we're teaming up with TerraCycle and the Colgate Oral Health Brigade to make a positive impact on the environment by recycling used toothbrushes, empty toothpaste, floss containers and their packaging. Bring them to Limerick Dental Care and TerraCycle will recycle these items into park benches, tote bags, watering cans, and more. Learn more about the recycling program.
Our Building
The original building our dental office occupies is believed to have been built around 1905 by Joseph Warren Bean (1872-1958). Mr. Bean, residing in the Collegeville area, operated a butcher shop here until 1920, and sold his meat at the Royersford and Spring City Markets. Around 1949, the then owner of the building, Fred Tyson, converted the building into apartments. The property was later purchased by Edward Moore, who maintained the apartments for several years, but ultimately leased the first-floor space to Dr. Richard Cohen in 1997, who converted it to a dental office and opened Limerick Dental Care!
Dr. Vanessa Adolf entered a partnership with Dr. Cohen in 2001, and eventually took ownership of the practice and purchased the building in 2010. In 2011-2012, Dr. Adolf renovated and modernized the first-floor dental office, added on a new patient entrance lobby, reception area, two new treatment rooms, and expanded employee space into one of the second-floor apartments.
