About Our Doctors
Dr. Richard Cohen has been practicing dentistry for 40 years. He is a 1955 graduate of Norristown High School, and he then attended Temple University for his undergraduate education. Dr. Cohen received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Cohen served two years as a Captain in the United States Army Dental Corps. Dr. Cohen then continued his education at the Institute for Graduate Dentists in New York. In 1979, he became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry in recognition for his outstanding commitment to continuing education. Dr. Cohen opened his first dental practice in East Norriton, PA after his service in the army. He was at that location for 33 years. Not ready for retirement, Dr. Richard Cohen opened his new practice in May 1997 in Limerick. He renovated a 130-year-old farmhouse that is now the home of Limerick Dental Care. Dr. Cohen is a musician and plays the saxophone, clarinet, flute, piccolo, and piano for community theaters and the Providence Chamber Orchestra as well as the Ursinus Jazz Band. He is a Collegeville resident and he has been married over 40 years to wife Stephanie, a professor of horticulture at Temple University. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Cohen is the Director of Arboretum at Temple and a nationally known garden writer and lecturer. They have three grown children.		Dr. Richard Cohen
Dr. Vanessa Adolf is a 1997 graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry. She attended Bishop Conwell High School in Levittown, PA and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 from The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. While in Dental school, Dr. Adolf was both in the Esthetic Honor Society and the Stomatognathic Honor Society. In addition to receiving Dean’s List recognition numerous times, Dr. Adolf received the “Outstanding Achievement in Operative Dentistry Award” at graduation. After graduation, Dr. Vanessa Adolf began her dental career as an associate in Springfield, PA. In January 2000, she joined the Limerick Dental Care family. In 2001, she and Dr. Cohen became partners in Limerick Dental Care. Dr. Adolf has taken multiple continuing education courses in all areas of dentistry including implants, esthetic dentistry, periodontal therapy, and advanced restorative procedures. She is a member of The American Dental Association, The Pennsylvania Dental Association, and The Academy of General Dentistry.  Dr. Adolf’s interests outside of dentistry include cooking, bowling, camping and spending time with family and friends.
